Eghersis
is a transliteration of the Greek word, εγερσις, which has the meaning of being roused to life. Thus, it is my hope that what you find on this blog will empower, arouse, stimulate, excite, and animate your life--your soul, your spirit--the wholeness of who you are.

The New Normal

Nothing is normal
We only think it is
Until it changes
We fight
We resist
We cry
Unfair
We buck
And curse
And swear
Until
A new normal emerges
Change
The new normal

So true. Accepting the worlds set standard of normal would be a tragidy. To continually challenge yourself and push through that barrier of complacency - striving for nothing short of excellence on a daily basis - that's a personal norm worth living.

Thanks for your comment, Ben. I agree that accepting a "normal standard" is a tragedy. I have come to a place where it seems that nothing is normal and never will be. Flux is normal.

Lisa, I've always wondered if Hegel's dialectic is in play? It seems by your post that you're hinting at a cycle of thesis, antithesis and finally synthesis. Is the only constant - change? I am longing for somethings to remain constant; I'm in despair because I think most things are not. Oh well, this too shall pass. (-;

Anonymous, In my mind, the only constant is God, and yet oddly, God is the Master of change. A paradox.
