Eghersis
is a transliteration of the Greek word, εγερσις, which has the meaning of being roused to life. Thus, it is my hope that what you find on this blog will empower, arouse, stimulate, excite, and animate your life--your soul, your spirit--the wholeness of who you are.

The Threefold Movement

"Corresponding to this threefold movement, our mind has three principle perceptual orientations. Their first is toward exterior material objects and is the basis for its being designated as . . . sensual. The second orientation is within itself and into itself and is the basis for its being designated as spirit. The third is above itself and is the basis for its being designated as mind. By all of these we should dispose ourselves to ascend into God so as to love him with our whole mind, with our whole heart and with our whole soul. In this consists both perfect observance of the Law and Christian wisdom."
