In the doorway,
Watching
Eastern fields,
Empty and dry,
Flying past the window.
Traveling north
Empty and untied,
A pair of sneakers
Waiting
By the doorway.
Fields and sneakers,
Sneakers and fields,
Watching,
Waiting,
Wondering.
