What a time to travel! What must it have been like to leave home in the ninth month of pregnancy, to travel dusty and crowded roads? What must it have been like to reach the destination tired and pregnant only to find that there is no available bed in town? What must it have been like to know that a first baby is about to be born and the only place open is the barn? Incredible. And yet all of this is the beauty of Advent. It is the story, and we love to hear it. It is a human story.
