Cry is a word that makes a sound. It may not be a sound that can be heard by the physical ears of others, but it makes a sound nevertheless. Today, I made the sound of a cry because my cat is old. Part of my cry was heard by others, but another part was heard only by the ears of God. There is the out loud cry heard by all those within hearing range, and there is the soundless cry heard only by those who have ears on the inside.
