Eghersis
is a transliteration of the Greek word, εγερσις, which has the meaning of being roused to life. Thus, it is my hope that what you find on this blog will empower, arouse, stimulate, excite, and animate your life--your soul, your spirit--the wholeness of who you are.

Seeing Wabi Sabi

Wabi sabi is Japanese and means that nothing is finished or perfect. I saw these words today on a bulletin board. I noticed them because I had seen them in an art book that described projects for nurturing the spirit. That was the first time I had heard of this worldview.

Seeing those bold letters reminded me that there is beauty in the imperfection and in the roughness of an object. These pieces are to be valued and honored for what they are.

I think of myself. An imperfect, in the rough person. And yet, here I am—valued by my Creator. I am an honored being and living in the way of transformation—constantly being remade by the One Who Made Me.

I haven't been to your blog for a while, but today I visited. Thank you for sharing your soul journey. Thank you for sharing your art. I celebrate what God is doing in your life and I am encouraged and blessed.

I may "borrow" your 30 days of seeing.
